On the 7th of this month, Formosa 2's Taichung office welcomed a group of distinguished guests—students and professors from Kookmin University! Majoring in Chinese Politics and Economy, these students engaged in fluent discussions in both Chinese and English with Formosa 2's CEO Moritz Horn, Operations Manager Li-Hung Ko, and Government Relations and Permit Manager Michael Chang. Their visit reflected a deep interest in Taiwan's offshore wind development.

This visit was part of Kookmin University's “2024 East Asia Climate Avengers: Taiwan” program, which focuses on climate change responses and renewable energy development in the Asia-Pacific region. As a pioneer in Taiwan's offshore wind industry, Formosa 2 was honored to facilitate this cross-border discussion. This visit featured a comprehensive introduction to how we operate and maintain our offshore site, as well as the challenges and opportunities we have encountered. During the interactive session, Formosa 2 representatives engaged in lively discussions with the students and professors on Taiwan’s decarbonization strategies, progress in renewable energy, and the company’s community engagement efforts.

We deeply appreciate the enthusiastic participation and thoughtful questions from Kookmin University's students and professors. Through meaningful exchanges, both sides shared their perspectives and insights on sustainability. We hope this visit inspires these future leaders to make an even greater impact in addressing climate change and advancing renewable energy. Together with Formosa 2, let’s promote international collaboration and co-create a sustainable future across different corners of the world!
