September 15 was a special day for the Formosa 2 team as we stepped into Ding-Pu Elementary School in Zhunan Township to host the “Xihu Wetland Biodiversity Exploration Course.” The program invited fifth-grade students to explore one of their hometown’s most vibrant ecosystems and to see how life on land and under water connects us all.
To enrich their learning, we were joined by Dr. I-Tsung Weng and Dr. Feng-Chiao Lin from National Cheng Kung University, together with representatives from Wetlands Taiwan and the Shuiwei community. Their guidance turned field exploration into a vivid lesson on biodiversity and shared responsibility.

This initiative reflects the spirit of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, including Quality Education (SDG 4), Life Below Water (SDG 14), and Life on Land (SDG 15). It demonstrates how collaboration between schools, academia, and local communities can make sustainability education tangible and inspiring.
At Formosa 2, we believe education is where lasting change begins. By nurturing curiosity and care for nature, we hope to plant the seeds of awareness that will grow with the next generation.
