This year, Formosa 2 proudly participated for the first time in one of Taiwan’s most significant religious and cultural events—the Baishatun Mazu Pilgrimage. We prayed for fair winds for our offshore operations - and for the safety of more than 300,000 pilgrims on their spiritual journey.

To mark the occasion, we launched the “Wind and Peace Blessing Vehicle”, distributing 200 blessing kits and collecting over 400 prayer cards from pilgrims. The kits were inspired by the four Chinese characters—wind (風), harmony (調), rain (雨), and smoothness (順)—which reflect the essence of a traditional Taiwanese idiom: 'When the winds and rains are just right, prosperity follows.'”), the gift packs were thoughtfully designed to be both practical and eco-friendly—symbolizing our respect for local traditions and the long-term commitment to fostering harmony between renewable energy and cultural heritage.

Pilgrims of the Baishatun Matsu Pilgrimage write down their wishes for blessings and receive blessing kits to accompany them on their safe and peaceful journey.

Nuta Chen, CEO of Formosa 2, stated: As a pioneer in Taiwan's offshore wind industry, Formosa 2 is committed to long-term local operations. We strive to deeply engage with local communities and steadily grow into a benchmark for the industry. Our participation in the Baishatun Mazu Pilgrimage marks an important step in honoring local culture. It also reflects our belief that green energy and spiritual traditions can go hand in hand in society. Located off the coast of Miaoli, our wind farm has been delivering a stable supply of clean energy to Taiwan. Moving forward, we will continue supporting local events, giving back to society, and strengthening trust and connection with the communities we serve. Through this initiative, Formosa 2 demonstrates that offshore wind is more than just an energy solution—it can also be deeply integrated into local culture and industries.

By embedding sustainability into both environmental and social efforts, Formosa 2 remains committed to building a greener future together.
