Supporting the healthy and safe development of local children is a key part of Formosa 2's commitment to the Miaoli community. This summer, Formosa 2 sponsored the swimming program organized by St. Francis Xavier Home in Houlong, Miaoli.

The program gave children access to swimming lessons in a safe and supportive environment. Combining fun with learning, the program helped children build essential swimming skills and water safety awareness while enjoying an active and rewarding summer break.

A total of 11 children from the home participated in the course. The program began with water-based games to help the children become comfortable in the water. Guided by professional coaches and dedicated caregivers, the children progressed from cautious initial exploration to mastering back floats, front floats, and breath control, before moving on to kicking and breathing techniques.

As they practiced each new skill, the children improved their coordination, strengthened their water safety awareness, and developed greater confidence in the water. The experience also helped them build resilience while encouraging teamwork and respect for others.

Through this partnership with St. Francis Xavier Home, we hope to provide children with a fun, safe, and enriching summer experience while supporting their continued learning and growth. Looking ahead, Formosa 2 remains committed to supporting the development of Miaoli's next generation through diverse educational and community initiatives, helping children grow and thrive while contributing to a more resilient and sustainable community.
