Today, April 22, 2025, we join the global community in celebrating Earth Day—a powerful reminder of our collective responsibility to protect the planet. This year’s theme, “Our Power, Our Planet,” encourages all of us to embrace solutions for a more sustainable future.

At Formosa 2, we’re proud to bring this message to life through our Local Culture Exploration Course for Primary School Students, launched in partnership with Jaunan Elementary School in Zhunan, Miaoli.

This educational initiative features:

  • Storytelling: A reading session of the picture book East Island Survival inspires resilience and a deeper connection with nature.
  • Interactive Learning: A board game titled Nan‑Feng City Water Incident, developed by local students and a local association we collaborated with, where children learn to work together to balance unity and diversity among different groups in their integration and local development.
  • Sustainable Seafood Education: By incorporating the Sustainable Seafood Guideline, students are taught how to make eco‑friendly seafood choices, reinforcing marine conservation and responsible consumption.

The program runs every Tuesday from April 15 for three consecutive weeks and will conclude with a board game competition on May 30, combining sustainability and fun in a creative, engaging format.

By connecting local culture with clean energy education, we’re proud to inspire the next generation to protect our planet—starting right in their own community.
